Tasting notes: The nose is very fine and elegant with delicate
red fruit and hint of spices. On the palate, it is fresh,
structured and teeming with fine bubbles.
Enjoying: A good wine for receptions, aperitifs and during a
meal. A perfect wine for sorbets at the end of the meal. To be
drunk swiftly so as to enjoy its fruity character. Ready to enjoy
now but also has great aging potential.

Locality: Vineyards around Ribeauvillé.
Type of soil: The Louis SIPP vineyards are situated in the
geologically fragmented fracture zone of Ribeauvillé with chalky
soil, clay and marl from the Liassic and Triassic periods and
sandstone clay, and calcareous, chalky conglomerates from the
Oligocene period. The area is also characterized by silt-laden
deposits, originally loessial, and by glacis and sandy alluvium in
the valley and on the plain. The parcels of land where the
Pinot of this Crémant is grown are mostly in heavy and deep soils
(Sulz), and in the less early-fruiting parts of the vineyard; in
the foothills and on the edges of the vineyard
This Crémant has been produced from Pinot Noir in the
Traditional Method with only the first juice, "cuvée," used in
order to get fine and structured wines. We chose deliberately not
to do malolactic fermentation in order to maintain the structure of
the wine, an advantage for the finesse and the aging potential.
