Tasting notes: The nose is very expressive with grapefruit and
tropical fruits flavors. Pure and fine expression of the Riesling.
A dry Riesling with the freshness and the tension typical from the
vintage 2014, with a nice balance and a good length.
Enjoying: May be served with all dishes which require a dry
white wine: crustaceans, shellfish, fish (grilled or served in
sauce), white meat, and of course sauerkraut. Young goat cheeses
are also perfect candidates to go with this wine.

Locality: Vineyards around Ribeauvillé: Colmarer Weg, Streng and
Type of soil: The Louis SIPP vineyards are situated in the
geologically fragmented fracture zone of Ribeauvillé with chalky
soil, clay and marl from the Liassic and Triassic periods and
sandstone clay, and calcareous, chalky conglomerates from the
Oligocene period. The area is also characterized by silt-laden
deposits, originally loessial, and by glacis and sandy alluvium in
the valley and on the plain. Our Pinot Noir vineyards are
planted in relatively heavy chalky/clay soils, with early fruiting
and bearing a low yield. A high level of maturity is required to
bring out the color and fruit of this grape variety which is
generally planted in more southern regions.
Certified organic grapes: Our conversion to organic production
began in 2005 with ECOCERT certification in 2008 which guarantees
the wines are crafted exclusively from organically-farmed grapes.
We call these young and fruity wines "Nature'S;" Nature meaning
organic and 'S being our signature.
